Success is in the Eye of The Beholder
Success is in the Eye of the Beholder
First off, we want to say thank you to all of our amazing designers who have made this whole thing possible. We cannot even express how talented and awesome our partners are! The coolest thing about this first year in business is the friendships and connections we have made not just with our customers but these designers and artists that we have been so fortunate to not just sell their prints but be able to call them our friends.
One year --- well, actually it's technically been a year and one month --- but all we can say is WOW! We want to thank each and every person who has been a part of this journey. This entire venture started because Andy kept buying more and more filament to print all the cool things that he could find for his own D&D groups. We decided to try to sell some prints and the next thing we knew we had a full time business and a printer farm running 24/7! The funny part is we actually had bought a C02 laser about the same time we started GriffonCo because that's what Katie wanted to do instead of the vinyl she had been working with. One thing after another it was almost an entire year before we really even played around with it and within two local craft shows the laser products were a HUGE hit!
Wait, back up a bit… a year ago it started out small a few prints here and there. We got a couple sales right away and then a big hit became Fat Dragon Game's "eye beast". About a month after we started we got this awesome idea to turn it into a Christmas ornament. This idea really changed everything… soon we had more printers and Katie slowly gave up more and more of the office (which used to be the school room as we homeschool the kids). By the first of the year it dawned on us that we were good at what we did and we loved the interaction and friendships that were coming from our customers and partners. We decided we were going to move forward and we spent so much time learning what we could to produce the best prints for the best price point - but more so we learned and pledged amazing customer service and always to have a personal touch.
We Are Rockin' This Thing!
Let's talk numbers. We are damn proud of where we are and what this has turned into for our entire family. We have had over 3,500 sales. We have sold more items than 98% of other shops on Etsy. We are partnered with over 15 amazing designers whom which we license their ridiculously awesome models. We have an ton of stalkers on social media who are so fun and supportive! Not to mention that we have met so many friends along this crazy ride that we can't even express how grateful we are for the relationships, laughs and experience that these people have for us.
This all happened in ONE YEAR.
We could not have done this without all of you!
Great little company. I made a small order off of Etsy for their
Miniature Carnivorous Plant Set. Got it quickly. They look great, the packaging was solid and got them painted up in no time.
I even got a little custom thank you noted in the package. I really enjoyed the personal touch. I will be looking to getting a few more items from them soon.
This was my second order and will not be my last. These folks make a quality product and are a joy to work with. Great communication, quick printing and shipping and those little extras like a personalized note in the package. Made me feel like a king. Do not hesitate to order from Griffon Co, they deserve your business.
The items looked just like they did in the listing, and the quality is excellent. Such a bargain! I ordered a few different things from this shop and the seller was very helpful and changed the color of the items I wanted changed, and made the others to match the listing photos, just as I asked. Everything was perfect. Super fast shipping, too! Thank you so very much!
Our #1 Goal
We have been insanely fortunate to be able to provide exceptional customer service and our personalized touch on every single order that has left our hands. This has been the backbone of our business and with over 800 stellar reviews on our products, customer service and quality we are proud to say we have accomplished our number one goal since day one. We won't lie, some of our random emails that we get telling us how they can help us "print better" or the ones that tell us we should be printing at a higher quality sometimes rub us the wrong way --- for like a second, then we realize that we stand by our quality and though some of our pictures show pretty heavy lines our reviews speak for themselves and truth be told -- we had a month of bad PLA and we haven't replaced the pictures yet ;). We have so many repeat customers we know them by name and often find that Andy tends to drop extra things in the box sometimes. We have so many messages and emails we have realized things slip through the cracks. Hint, reach out to us and remind us because we probably just got really busy, really fast!
We feel horribly awful if we screw up your order and it tends to always be after we have been out of town and come home to a crapload of orders. Don't worry though, the item we may have missed in your box was pleasantly found in another's. Or perhaps the punks happened, as we make our kids (recently self-proclaimed steam"punks") slave over hard blister causing (not at all) tasks such as bagging dead people or counting out printed plastic sacks and put them in druggy plastic sacks. They "forget" to use toothpaste sometimes so we tend to often question the bagging capabilities of our insanely smart homeschooled nerds. We pay them in mine coins so we're pretty sure they are fairly distracted with plans for greener blocks to do a thorough job. We swear, they can actually count to ten we aren't that kind of homeschool family. Hey -- crit happens, right??? Did you know we can't say that now without hearing the crew from Ukodor saying that in our head? We take it a step further as our entire family bursts out with our kids mimicking Torq in an awful attempt at his voice talent. Bottom line, this year has been off the hook exciting, stressful and fun.
Our Next Year

Our Force is Strong...
This adventure has been so amazing for all of us. Our kids have been given the opportunity to learn so much about business and customers service. They are starting to become pretty awesome little miniature painters with failed prints too!
